Today in class we went over Crisis Rhetoric. We took notes on the five parts. The five parts are urgency, crisis as reality, dramatic characters, policy vs. morality, and rhetorically generative. Urgency meaning it must be demonstrated that something needs to happen right at that moment. Crisis as reality meaning showing that the crisis is affecting the audience. Dramatic characters meaning good characters vs. bad characters. Policy vs morality meaning its the right thing to do. Lastly, Rhetorically generative meaning specifically selecting someone to make them out to be evil or bad.
